Walking the wall with the kids

Walking around the wall with the kids and my folks

During my folks last week here we decided to take the kids and walk around York on the wall. This meant no stroller as the double wide we have would not fit. Lily was placed in the backpack carrier, which delighted her no end. She looks so cute in it, but it is not an easy task walking with her on your back. My mom, my dad, and I each took a turn.
Lily wanted a much faster pace as she was getting tired. Luckily she did fall asleep.

Grandma patiently walks with Oliver at Oliver's pace.

After Oliver drank some water out of a bottle his shirt got a little wet, so that came off. Once it was dry he wore it for awhile until he got hot. I think I will have to pack at least an extra shirt for preschool come fall, so he is not always wanting to take off his shirt.

Oliver loves to sit down on benches where ever he finds them, even momentarily. Today he was asking for his photo to be taken while sitting on them. Very cute.

This walk is about 2 miles around the city, but with little kids it feels much LONGER. They walk at a different pace, but it was a lovely day for the walk.
