Playgroups

Playgroups for parents and toddlers are really big here. Many moms take their kids several days a week to them. I found one in the local methodist church over near the park we have been going to. It was from 10 to 11:45am. They had lots of toys including gross motor, kitchen, playdough, dress up, books, and a baby area. I had to bring a piece of fruit and 1 pound for the family. There was about 25 moms and their children. People were nice. I met some moms from America who have married someone from the UK. The kids loved it especially Lily! After playing we sat down for snack (fruit), juice in sippy cups, and the moms could have coffee, tea, or squash (juice). I had to look that one up. At the end they got out some musical instruments and sang some songs.

I'll definitely bring them back. I got some other suggestions for grocery stores as well. Harrison was definitely the oldest there. Kids start Nursery School/preschool at 2.5 and then are in school full days at 4 years old, so Harrison would be in school for full days 5 days a week right now in UK. That is hard to believe. It would be an interesting experience for him, but most days I want him home with me.

  1. Greetings from the Coop! Each school day, I ask the kids who is absent and they faithfully report that Harrison is absent. Please let him know that his friends think of him often! Love from "Miss Pam"
